ROSELUX
PROGRAM: SHIFT
TYPE: VISUAL IDENTITY REFRESH
INDUSTRY: BEAUTY BOUTIQUE & LIFESTYLE
MODEL: B2C
BASED IN: YORBA LINDA, CALIFORNIA
(01) INTRO
Roselux began with a personal approach to skincare and care. As the founder’s creative practice grew, the business expanded beyond services into handmade jewelry, body care, skincare, and a curated collection of goods created by women-owned businesses. The visual identity needed to express that broader vision. We refreshed the brand to preserve its warmth while creating a more distinctive and flexible system for retail, digital, packaging, and future growth.
(02) THE OPPORTUNITY
The original identity was tied closely to a spa experience. But Roselux was becoming something more expansive: part maker studio, part beauty boutique, part platform for thoughtfully selected products.
The opportunity was to create an identity capable of holding those different expressions together. It needed to feel personal enough for handmade work, credible enough for clinical skincare, and flexible enough to support an evolving collection.
Rather than choosing between care and commerce, we built the identity around the connection between them.
(03) CREATIVE STRATEGY
Roselux is shaped by a founder who moves between multiple roles: maker and curator. Some products begin at her own workbench. Others are selected because they share the same attention to craft, usefulness, and joy. We centered the creative direction on considered beauty. Beauty that is made slowly, selected thoughtfully, and brought into everyday life through objects and rituals that feel personal. This gave the brand a clearer role. Roselux would not compete through excess or exclusivity. It would create value through discernment, care, and the feeling that every item had been chosen for a reason.
(04) LOGO DEVELOPMENT
The former identity was rooted in beauty and personal care, but it needed a symbol with greater clarity and range. We evolved the rose motif into a more structured emblem that also carries the form of a crown. The rose preserves the brand’s connection to beauty, growth, and care. The crown introduces a sense of agency, value, and confidence.
Together, the forms mark the brand’s transition from a single service experience into a broader collective, while keeping its most recognizable idea at the center. At the center of the refresh is a stylized rose-crown emblem designed to express beauty, renewal, and elegance in a single mark. Paired with updated typography, the new brand marks represent the new era for Roselux.
(05) LOGO SYSTEM
The new identity was designed as a system, not an isolated logo.
The rose-crown emblem acts as the most immediate expression of the brand, working independently across products, tags, social profiles, and small-format applications. A custom serif wordmark introduces a more editorial presence, while horizontal, vertical, and enclosed configurations give the identity flexibility across different environments.
Each configuration supports a different use, but all return to the same recognizable form.
(06) VISUAL IDENTITY
The visual system brings together the warmth of personal care and the precision of a curated retail experience. A restrained charcoal creates contrast and authority. Soft rose tones introduce softness and familiarity to the brand. Warm neutrals and pale metallic tones create room for jewelry, skincare, packaging, and product photography to remain central.
The emblem extends into patterns and framing devices, while the typography balances expressive detail with functional clarity. The result feels feminine without becoming delicate, considered without becoming distant.
(07) IMPACT
The refreshed identity gives Roselux a clearer expression of what the business has become. It preserves the intimacy of a founder-led brand while creating a broader system for handmade products, professional skincare, curated goods, and future ideas. Internally, it gives the founder a more consistent framework for making decisions and introducing new offerings. Externally, it creates a recognizable experience that feels warm, thoughtful, and ready for a wider audience. Roselux can continue to evolve without reinventing how the brand shows up each time.
